Bebo Cárdenas es reconocido como la última primera voz del trío Los Tres Reyes. Por más de 15 años recorrió, junto a los maestros Puente, todo el territorio hispanoamericano, en giras con las que fueron reconocidos como uno de los más grandes tríos musicales; también Gilberto Puente como uno de los requintistas más virtuoso; y por demás, una de las voces más privilegiadas y hermosas, la del cubano Bebo Cárdenas.
Tras una finalización natural del mítico trío y una despedida exitosa de los hermanos Puente en España, Bebo Cárdenas ha centrado esfuerzos, a lo largo de varios años, en retomar todos esos temas clásicos y un repertorio más íntimo de la agrupación, para honrar esa època y esa agrupación, ahora con una selección propia de músicos que encarnan perfectamente el estilo de Los Tres Reyes.
